Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Oxyvias Limited ("Oxyvias", "Algi", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use the Algi platform and website. Algi is an energy intelligence service for commercial buildings. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

1. The data we collect

We collect the following personal data:

2. Public data we use about buildings

To produce a property brief, Algi draws on publicly available records, including the EPC Register, Companies House, National Grid carbon intensity data, Copernicus atmospheric data, and NASA climate data. This building information is largely public and commercial in nature. Where it is linked to your account, we treat it in line with this policy.

3. How and why we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes, each with a lawful basis under the UK GDPR:

4. Marketing and communications

Algi is a business-to-business service. When you create an account, you are giving your business details to a company whose purpose is to help your organisation manage its energy. On that basis, we will contact you about Algi, our products and features, and related offerings that are relevant to your business role. We rely on our legitimate interests as the lawful basis for these communications, in line with UK data protection law and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.

You have the right to object to this at any time. Every marketing email we send includes a clear way to unsubscribe, and you can also object by emailing hello@algi.uk. If you object or unsubscribe, we will stop sending you marketing communications. We may still need to send you service messages relating to your account, such as security or account notices, which are not marketing.

5. Automated processing

Algi uses automated processing to generate property briefs, benchmark comparisons, funding matches, and energy reports from the data described above. These outputs are indicative and informational. They do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you, and they are not a substitute for professional advice. You can contact us to discuss any output.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Algi, and only as needed to provide the service. These include:

  • Cloud hosting and database providers who store the platform's data.
  • An AI processing provider used to analyse the documents and data you submit.
  • Providers of public data sources used to build property briefs.

These providers act on our instructions under appropriate data protection terms. Where any provider processes data outside the UK, we put appropriate safeguards in place as required by UK data protection law. We may also disclose data where required by law.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your account data for as long as you have an account with us, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and operational needs. Reports and building data generated in your account are retained so we can provide continuity of service and maintain our records. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting hello@algi.uk, subject to any data we must keep by law.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances.
  • Object to or restrict our processing, including objecting to marketing at any time.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format, in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@algi.uk. We will respond within the time limits set by law.

9. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at hello@algi.uk so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
